- The MGS-20 guide is easily installed and removed
from your
tenon joiner with two captive thumbscrews (included)
using the existing
mounting holes on the bottom of your joiner. No
modification of your
joiner is required.
- The stop dogs can be set to any position ranging
from 3/8-inch to
2-5/8-inches from the centerline of the mortise.
This means you can
place a tenon in the center of board widths from
3/4-inch to
5-1/4-inches.
- The stop dogs are easily flipped forward for use,
and flipped
back when not in use. Use any combination of stop
dogs to suit your
needs.
- Each dog arm is equipped with an 8-32 threaded
hole so that
spacing or adjustment screws can be added to any
stop dog.
- For convenience, the two outside stop dogs already
include spacing screws (stainless steel socket head
cap screws and jam nuts).
- When the position/adjustment screws are used, the
minimum
spacing between adjacent stop positions can be as
small as 1/16-inch
between
positions.
- Accurate and repeatable positioning is achieved by
the rigidity
of the stop dog mechanism and a torsional lock tab
that prevents lateral
movement.
- The basic MGS-20 contains 2 pair of position stop
dogs. Additional pairs of stop dogs may be ordered
separately and added
to the MGS-20 for up to 12 total positions (6 each
side).
